Muji has always been my go-to window shopping place. As a fan of minimalist items, Muji’s stationary and interior design has never failed to impress me. I am a huge enthusiast of their notebooks that are just so simple and clean. The lines on the papers are subtle enough to be unnoticeable but also bold enough to be seen when you write. Perfect for people who love blank paper yet lack the ability to write in straight lines.

I would say Muji is worth it when they have sales, but other than that, the prices can be pretty steep for an average student. Do be sure to catch their seasonal sales to enjoy it fully!

The era of simply throwing stationery into my bag had to come to an end. I had to decide what kind of pencil case will enable me to transit smoothly to an organised lifestyle. I spent long and hard thinking about it until I chanced upon the MUJI PP Pen Case ($3.30).

It was a simple plastic box that lasted me for about 6 years. The great thing about it’s simplicity is that it’s versatile -- it blends in well with the fluidity of ever-changing trends. It’s always cool to keep your stationery in a clear customizable plastic box.

You don’t have to be the guy that carries an arsenal of stationery in a pencil case bursting at its seams. All you need is a nice box to keep a few pens, maybe pencils and other small knick-knacks.

Muji is the perfect place for you to shop in when you’re looking to organise your space. They provide clean and fresh looking products, including a range of boxes which you can stack, shape and play with to your heart’s content. Basically, Muji offers you the building bricks to a cleaner lifestyle.

Although Muji’s products are undeniably lovely, they are also expensive. However, I’d rather save up and get a Muji item than any other brand, due to their long-lasting and beautiful simplistic designs.

We’ve been on tumblr, seen those minimalistic frost white pencil boxes and plastic case pens. We’ve seen videos on DIY back-to-school tote bags, where cheery US youtubers tell us we can get tote bags from “the dollar store” for “a dollar or two”. In Singapore, however, these things can be quite expensive if you shop at Popular or ArtBox, but with Muji, the minimalistic japanese store, the perpetually broke school-goer can get her hipster supplies for cheap too.

Bestsellers from the stationery collection include their 0.38 and 0.5 black pens (judging by how fast their refills go out of stock), their thin lined notebooks which saw me through two years of speedy but neat note-taking (thanks to the smooth paper and thin line space forcing small penmanship), the ever-popular clear pencil cases ($6.90) and their tote bags at $2.90 with chops and stamps provided to decorate them.

Not only that, their food corner stocks the best under-the-table snacks for school, such as $1.90 marshmallows which are smooth and burst in your mouth, and crispy rice crackers that are lightly salted and extremely yummy. Muji really is every student’s budget school supply store.

I love stationery shopping at Muji because of its simple yet classy designs. I think people generally love that their designs never get old and they are reasonably priced. The quality of these stationery don't disappoint either! And what's best are the discount offers during certain seasons. (Eg: Christmas! )

Besides, they also offer a rather wide variety of products on their shelves other than stationery.
Such as clothes, food, bags, shoes, make up and even some diy products!
However, I've to mention that the other products can be very expensive! Especially the clothes and shoes. Whilst the material is good, I maintain that I will not pay over a hundred bucks for a simple pair of flats.

I will recommend shopping at Muji if you are in need of some school-motivation (new pens/pencils/pencil cases ALWAYS bring me joy) ! Muji is definitely the place for you if you live your life upholding a minimalistic theme, you wouldn't even need me to tell you this.

I absolutely adore Muji. It's one of my favourite brands out there for a good reason. From its concept, to the products and the service of the staff...everything is perfect.

Stepping into Muji makes me feel happy because of its minimalist interior and design. The simple colour scheme is easy on the eyes and comfortable to look at. Even though some people don't like Muji because they said it's too simple, but to me, that's where their charm lies in. The products are simple yet elegant, and are of an extremely high quality.

Even though Muji product prices are a little on the high end, but personally I still think it's worth it for the minimalist design and high quality of the products.

Muji is one of my absolute favourite places to shop. Its plainess, I believe, is one of its biggest selling factors. I'm always iffy whenever it comes to brands that insist on enlarging their logos to the point where it covers half the product. And more often than not, the logos are quite unsightly, which is very off-putting. It makes me reconsider buying their products even if the quality and original design may be nice.

When it comes to Muji, such concerns all go flying out of the window. All their products stick to the same concept: simplicity. This honestly gives off a great feeling of sophistication which I greatly adore. Muji doesn't need to compete in terms of design with other stores as its simplicity is what wins it customers. There's only a sticker with their logo on their products which you can easily tear off.

Muji also sells products of stunning quality. From their clothes to their containers, all of it meets an A-class standard in terms of quality. I especially love their notebooks. Although, some of their notebooks are often dented or scratched.

However, I have to say that their products are very pricey. It may be over the top but I guess it pays to fork out so much for quality.

Love the simplicity

Muji is a store that I love going into, just walking one round in Muji lifts my spirits a little. I just love how simple it is, and how the ambience radiates a quiet calmness that makes people feel more at ease and relaxed. The design of the products mainly revolved around the concept of simplicity and superb quality. The colours of the products more or less go in line with the whole theme and decor of the shop itself - brown earthy colours that reminds one of nature, the music in the store is very soothing and pleasant as well.

It sells a wide variety of products, from clothes to bath products to stationary to kitchen ware to food as well as bedroom details. I always go back to the store for stationary and notebooks. I love how smooth the pens are as well as the simplicity and quality of the notebooks. Although Muji sells at pretty expensive prices, the stationary remains quite affordable ( Some of the notebooks can get a little more pricey so it depends on which one you are getting). The other products however, like clothings and blankets and linen sheets can get pretty pricey.

It is a place that would do pretty good retail therapy, even just by browsing through the shop.

Muji has been around for awhile now, but I've only recently ventured to explore it. I've heard a lot of it online, which is basically what got me curious about this. Their pricier tendencies haven't missed me so I entered the store with a prepared heart.

They come across as a mini Japanese version of IKEA, minus the relatively more affordable pricing. Their products range from bathroom utilities, to bedroom details, to kitchen ware, even to the itsy bitsy stationary. The earthy theme of the entire store gives shoppers a really comfortable and pleasant experience. This is accentuated so with staff that are readily at hand to handle your queries, yet do not probe nor intervene unnecessarily.

I personally came for their renowned acrylic organisers. On my way, my eyes caught on the plastic and wooden ranges, that were really impressive and honestly, much more affordable too. But I was blown away by the sleekness of the acrylic range. They are definitely worth the money too. The drawers I purchased were sturdy and the drawers glide on really well, without the awkward squeaky jams you expect between plastic ridges.

Their quaint range of stationary caught my attention too, and they're definitely a lot more affordable compared to Muji's other products, and are reasonably priced. I would definitely come back for these.

Basically, Muji feeds the simplistic and sophisticated side of you. And I will definitely recommend their acrylic organisers. ;)

Muji’s aesthetic is in its own league. With its clean lines and earthy tones, Muji speaks to the minimalist in people. I find myself in Muji even if I have nothing particular to buy, for the store is such a comfortable and soothing environment to be in. Muji retails daily necessities, stationery, furniture, food and clothing. A rather diverse selection means that window-shopping here can take up quite some time.

Muji is, by all means, not an avenue for cheap products but rest assured that you get what you pay for. My favourite item from Muji is the beanbag chair, which is tres comfortable!
